Default Buying new Axles for 97 Civic - What does "NO CORE" mean?

Hey there everyone.. I am not very car savvy still, but I try my best on some things to learn. I bought some new CV axles from importrp.com because mine have been showing plenty of signs of needing to be replaced.

Only thing I am not sure about is what is up with the core?

I noticed on the box of the axles it clearly says "NO CORE".. is that something I could reuse from my old ones or could I buy new cores from someplace like auto-zone?

When I checked auto-zone site, only thing I noticed is that they sell cv axles with cores, and some without.

Default Re: Question regarding 97 Civic Axle

if it says no core, then they are brand new aftermarket units. it just means they don't want your old ones back.
