civic si hatchback 3rd brake light
hope all is well with everyone. I am having a difficult time finding any information on how to take the third brake light out of the spoiler/wing on the 4th generation civic hatchback without breaking the 8 little clips that are no longer available from honda. I dont think I would even be able to get to the bulb to change it without breaking the clips. has anyone had any luck with any other method besides just completely blowing out all the clips. I will post a few images let me get them together.

Why do you want to take the third brake light out anyway? You change the bulb by just unscrewing the two screws that are in the red reflector lense and take the cover off.

hm that doesnt seem to be the case with mine. possibly differences in year. the light housing on mine is a complete piece which the light remove is on the back of the housing which is sandwiched between the plastic and metal that make the spoiler wing one piece along with the eight clips that destroy themselves. the vehicle is a 91. I have a little spread of the process i have something that worked.

this is a process that worked for me without any damage. please examine your vehicles plastic before trying it. if your plastic is dried out it may not be the best process. again it worked for me but may not work for everyone.
