The trunk lid on my 93 Del Sol is slightly raised on the passenger side corner near the back window and gets water into the trunk during a heavy rain. The rubber seal is ok and I know about the two rubber stoppers that can be adjusted at the opening of the trunk.

Can the hinge be adjusted or is there something else I can do to get that corner of the lid flush with the rear body?

Also does anyone know if there should be five or two rubber stoppers for the inside of the trunk lid. I cant only find the two that can screw adjust into the lid but have seen a parts list that showed three other smaller stoppers. I suspect they are missing on my car but just don't know where they go.

You can adjust the locking height at the latch hook. Loosen the bolt, move the latch hook down a hair, tighten it, and try it again. Rinse and repeat until it's flush.

I think youll find hes talking about the hindge end of the trunk

have a look at the hindges there should be some adjustment there
if so just have to have one person climb in loosen bolts
person outside push it into place then tighten the bols back up

I'm aware he's talking about the hinge side of the trunk. I had the same problem on my Civic after cramming a 10W7 HO in the trunk. The adjustment at the latch will still fix it. The hinges are not meant to be adjusted.

I think the trunk latch set up is not the same on a del sol as it is the civic. The del sol latch is mounted on the lid has no adjustment but has a shim plate under the latch. I've tried both removing and adding to the shim but still have the raised corner of the lid near the passenger side back window. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
