Default Jerk from P to D after sitting for awhile

Hey,

My car: 2008 Accord V6, 44k+miles. Automatic.

I'm not sure where my issue (or if I have an issue at all)...so
after when my car sits for awhile(e.g. overnight or after work), when I shift from park to drive...the car jerks and definitely noticeable. It jerks harder when colder. Jerk from Park to Reverse is small...seems normal to me.

*Added: The idle when I first start the car is around 1.1-1.2k after sitting for awhile. But then drops to around 800 or so after driving a little.

But after driving it a little, the issue goes away. For example, if I drive to a store...then when I'm done shopping I go to car, when I shift from P to D...there's little jerk to the car.

So it only happens when car sits for 8+ hours or so. So is this normal? I feel like it is temperature related...I'm in the Northeast and it's getting cold.

Things that I have tried:
1) Wait for car to warm up first (waited maybe 5mins or so)...then shift from P to D. Car jerks.

2) Did the 3x transmission fluid exchange with Honda Transmission fluid and put lubegard red. Still jerks.

Every auto I've driven has a "jerk" to it when you go from park to drive. Most like likely normal, if its shifting hard or slipping then that's when you worry.

I see...it's just that the jerk is rough enough the car rocks...but again only in that certain situation...all other times its fine.

Would a bad tranny mount cause such a thing? If so, I'll have to call around to see how much it is to get inspected.

Engine mount seems to be fine...doesn't jerk when I rev up the engine when in Park.

Thanks for your help!

the jerk is from the high idle when the car is cold. completely normal.

You might have a bad motor mount. You feel it more when the engine is cold, because it has a higher idle until it warms up. Changing the trans fluid will have no effect on this. Flushing the fluid is for harsh shifting while driving. The front mount on the front part of the sub frame is probably hydraulic, if the fluid leaks out, you will feel a clunk since there is little to no damping from the mount. Look at the motor mount, check for oil leaks around it. If you put it in drive, apply the parking brake, mash on the brake pedal, press on the accelerator pedal to duplicate the problem. An empty parking lot would be the best place to test this, so you don't accidentally crash into something. Only do this test briefly so you don't overheat the trans.
