need help engine smoking from the oil pan section ??
heres the deal. i have a 98 honda civic ex 5 speed with a stock D16y8 motor. first off my car is lagging like crazy.. 1st gear 2nd gear is not taking off smooth at all what so every. also i was told that i needed a new gasket for the oil pan. and yes i have some oil leaking when the car is jack up unevenly. can this be the problem?? and last every time i rev the car.. there is smoke coming up from the oil pan area of the motor?? i just need some input on what the problem might be so i need advice on what i should do to solve the problem. thanks,any suggestion would be very much appreacaited.

Oil is burning somewhere and since you said you have a leak make sure you change the gasket. Its easy to change the gasket. let us know how it goes.

Check the PCV system, it may be clogged and you could be blowing out oil seals. Def do a compression test. Is there any coolant in the oil (milky)?
