Re: My 1999 Honda Civic SiR EM1 Build Thread
Hey guys so today I got myself a soldering iron, and picked up some paint .. let me know what you think ... im still on the fence about it. These are my old mud flaps so I can swap between stock and this. And this will be the color of my valve color when I get around to it.

Stock EM1 tire size is 195/55/15, you'd have to use a tire size calculator to figure out what width would go well without a huge difference in accuracy of your speedometer.
Great buy, glad you're taking the time to make this car your own. I have one myself and I can't stop adding things here and there.
Hey thanks a lot, just doing small things for now till some cash flow comes in .
Can't wait to see more stuff from you.

Re: My 1999 Honda Civic SiR EM1 Build Thread
Ok guys so the flat army green mud flaps wasn't doing it for me, would look good on a flat black car and matching flat army green rims though... anyways I painted them a semi flat black and they look better then stock in my opinion. Here a few pics of the car and mud flaps... sorry for the crappy pics, ill bust out the Nikon D90 soon... maybe even a video with the gopro H2. Also got the reverse switch all wired up, soldered, and heat shrink wrapped. Still looking for a spoiler and stock radio, also noticed a nice amber clock for the 96-98 ek's.... anything like that for the 99-00's? Placed an order at password jdm this morning ... cannot wait till everything gets here!!! Keeping an eye open this week/next for a good used set of tires/intake/exhaust (apexi ws2)

Re: My 1999 Honda Civic SiR EM1 Build Thread
Thanks for the comments, going to be some decent action in the next month. All the little things are pretty much done and everything is operational.
Oh man I walked around the car looking at the flaps so many times I was dizzy, I really liked how they turned out but its not the look im going for.... although it did look pretty bad a**
Almost painted the rear license plate insert and the fog light covers, and the grill's mesh only not the out frame.... maybe ill get a bunch of spare parts and be able to swap between the two looks. I already have spare fog light covers and mud flaps

I agree that the black flaps look better. A lighter shade of green might have worked, but in the pictures they looked almost like faded black, and I didn't get it.

Re: My 1999 Honda Civic SiR EM1 Build Thread
Well picked myself something up today, thought it was amazing deal... got the OEM SiR trunk/spoiler for 100 bucks. Cheapest price I could find for a OEM spoiler only was 250 so I jumped all over this deal. I plan on having this set painted as well as the trunk lid on the car now, that way I can swap between having spoiler and not.

Car is looking better, slowly but surely. I am also trying to restore a 97 ek I purchased not too long ago. Don't try to rush it, great work comes with great patience

Great purchase!!!!
I also pick up a 99 sir in electron blue few weeks ago.
Same mileage with same 2 owner story. I've been buying many parts last couple weeks to restore it just like what you're doing.
Keep it up!!!

Thanks, Yeah black looks much cleaner
Awesome, congrats on the pick up ... i have a 98 hatch to and shes an amazing car.. its my daily with 360,000 km's on it and it runs like... well a honda haha
thanks dude, the little details can make or break the overal appearance of a car. I agree the flaps really make it so much better
I almost bought an electron blue one but the guy didn't really seem to want to sell it too badly, blew me off after I drove 3 hours to look/buy it. Glad you made out better than I did. Start a build thread!!! What parts have you bought so far?
