95 civc B18A1 swap.
i know this question have been asked before and i can't find it. anyways, i wanted to swap my 95 honda civic engine (D16Z6 SOHC VTEC) with a B18A1 (i.e. Acura Integra 91). here is the problem or what i think is a problem other than the OBD issue and the engine mounts. the B engine is an automatic. the manual tranny is 5 spd LSD. can i put the manual transmition on the automatic block or is it a different bolt pattern? by the way, all the engine parts r going to be replaced like crankshaft pulley, valves, cylinders, etc. in other words, i'm only using the engine block. all the components r going to be replaced.
thanks in advance.

Re: (egsleepercivic)
thank u egsleepercivic.
in ur opinion, do u think i made a mistake by doing a B18A rather than B16A,B, or C? u know, considering the fact that its a non VTEC.

I have a JDM b16a, if i was gonna do it again i would have went with a gsr, but with B18a1 you will always have the option of LSvtec, also a b18a with a b16 tranny should be good since you have 15 lbs more torgue than a b16. also the b18a's are way cheaper also it is perfect for boost. would not say it was a mistake but I would a have at least gotten a b18b, 10 more horse than the b18a and obd1

Re: (egsleepercivic)
thanks again for the info and advices. i wish i had the choice of a B18B but this B18A was a steal. i got it for 200 bucks. so, anyways, i have to change my ECU from OBD1 to OBD2. so, even with a b16 tranny, i should have no problem as far as bolt pattern. everyday i learn something new about civic engine swaps.

yeah just use the z6 harness and any sensor that are missing not compatible on the ls, just use the sensors from the z6 . also you will want to use the z6 injectors to make life easier. also if you can get your hands on an obd1 ls intake mani it would help. one more thing you prolly want to swap out your skunk2 chip for a stock ls prog, or get an odb1 ls ecu which ever is cheaper
good luck
