Both are good products but I personally like KYB. I had them on my 93 Prelude Si and it was lowered.......the KYB's were awesome on it.

depends on use... for an economical, good performing shock, with a good customer service, koni is hard to beat.
KYBs have always been, to me, a good replacement OEM shock. I have never used any of the KYB racing shocks, so I can't comment... nor have I ever seen any shock dynos for them.

For a DD car, KYB seem to make great replacements. For an auto-x car, or a DD that wants better performance, Konis are a great bargain and work great.

Swapping out KYB Excel-G (replacment for the discontinued GR-2) for my blown shocks on my Stock FWD Rallycross EF. I ran them on my VW and they were fine. Sportier than the stock shocks but they're not to be mistaken for Konis. I'll be going to AGX's or something adjustable next season when I change classes.
