low91rex's eg hatch Part 2 Going ham!
Part deuce of my never ending build! New stuff starts on page two.
How the car currently sits:
I bought it like this (too much)
Its a teal hatch. When I got it it had an ls with a type r trans. I loved the way it ran it would beat all b16's and most gsr's.

So I drove it like this for a couple of months. Me and my buddies went out for night at the track and that was the same night I royaly facked my type R trans that I loved so much. What happened was the divers side mount broke so the T bracket ripped a hole on the bellhousing of my trans. So I got a temporary daily and the build begins!

These conversion dowels are awesome because they are tapered at the top so it makes it easier to put the head on without ****ing up the pins.

Ok guys I knew I wasn't organized enough for a build thread but Ill post updates in here any way.
Transmission items all from synchro tech transmissions. I highly recommend synchrotech they have great customer service. One of the guys even walked me through the shimming process and final assembly over the phone!
This was the old 3/4th sleeve **** was thrashed that why I decided to change all the synchros and sleeves.
I used an ls case with my ITR internals so I had to grind those fins to fit the lsd.
Don't mind the spare transmission parts on the right
Mainshaft complete
Counter
My holset hx35 not sure if I'm still gonna rebuild and run this one might be a little too big.
More tonight on my wire tuck, god this car takes so long to build.

Re: low91rex's eg hatch bedroom build ftw pic heavy
So I put the trans and motor in here's a little teaser.
looking back this was my first time painting and shaving a bay, and now I have a better feel for what I'm doing. There's a couple things I would have done differently to make everything smoother. But it is what it is and its my car I'm building it for me and Ill tell you right now its a great learning experience so I'm happy with it. If you're looking at this wanting to shave tuck paint and you've never done it before like me just do it. you will only get better each time you do it.
more updates later.

Thanks man
I got something today.
I know there not that good but I got it for free for doing a wire tuck on my buddies car. so I'm just gonna use it.
Also got this half shaft from yonaka because the bearing in my old one was ****ed. The shaft is supposed to be 15% bigger and the bearing is stronger. So I'll try it out.
Fitment was perfect after I installed it.
