Default Turbo Honda/Acura Pics/Theory/Installation/Discussion/FAQ

I haven't seen one of these yet, but since the "shaved/tucked/customized engine bay theory/discussion" thread was such a success I figured we would give this a try. I know whe have a "FAQ section here" but the noobs obvioulsy don't like to use it, and we might get some new information through this thread.

Post pictures of your setup/car, discuss turbocharching/turbo's, discuss Installation, Theory, Tuning, etc...

Some decent threads for the people that are looking for specific sections:

And since the NOOBS really don't like to check the FAQ, I figured I would repost some of it in here to get this thread started.

some of these links may be dead by now, so that's another reason I started this thread.

I would like to find a thread discussing the use of the stock GSR intake manifold on turbo applications. I plan on keeping mine and playing around with the runner switch over point to make the most power down low and up high....It seems 95% of turbo GSR's swap over to a jg or itr single runner manifold.

Im planning on using the GSR manfiold when I boost it, but I'm going to remove the secondaries. You might want to look into that. My tuner said he does that for all turbo GSR builds with stock manifolds, that he does.

Thanks guys! We've been around for a while. Usually racing in the Northeast. Local import events at Englishtown Raceway Park NJ, Atco Raceway NJ, and Maryland International Raceway.

Here's a video by NYCE1's from last years $10,000 Outlaw Race Fall Nationals at Raceway Park. It was a $1000 entry fee. It's hosted every year at Englishtown in October. All the fastest cars in the country (FWD Outlaw/SFWD Class) attend this event. We have two SFWD Cars. The EK pictured above and a Red EG.

This is our 2012 Race schedule. We added four events from last year. Two in NH, one more at MIR and we will be travelling to Las Vegas for an IFO FWD Gamblers Race on May 6th. Should be fun!

Here's our schedule: http://www.dpraceparts.com/blogs/new...-race-schedule

Hey white rice can you post a picture of that invader hood from a better angle? I'm curious how it looks from the top. Does it help vent the heat at all or is it just design?

i just looked through all the pics i have and none show a better shot, i will take one once i pull it out of storage for u which should be in about 2-3 weeks if this weather keeps up, the hood is functional it channels down to almost directly above my manifold. it has a hole cut in it with a screen and totally helps with heat. when i shut the car off or am standing at a light and look across the hole all u can see is the wavy heat lines coming out of it. it does come down pretty close to the valve cover though. if u look at my engine bay and see the spot of red paint missing on my valve cover thats from when i had a bad motor mount and the motor was actually rubbing on the hood during hard acceleration. the only other complaint i have about this hood is that it doesn't have the second hole to hold the hood straight up with the prop rod and i hate that, other than that i love it, if your wondering about weight savings its only 13 pounds less than stock.

@ Dynamic, how far is your shop from the Commadore Barry bridge (PA to NJ), I live right on the PA side of that bridge.

That picture hides the IC really well, and the bumper isn't cut out or anything so it makes you have to do like a second glance to realize it's there probably
