No problemo. LCA's are one part for our hondas where there are a ton to choose from, but very few that are actually worth running on the car.

yea i heard that you have to drop the car on lca (on ground), and tighten the bolts... something like that lol.... or bushings will crack.. anyone hear of this

I sure hope they've fixed their bushing problem. For $190+ it's really pretty sorry for Skunk2 to have issues like that.

The company makes amazing headers and cams, why can't they figure out suspension stuff?

For ~$200 I would be pretty tempted to spend the extra $30 and get Function7 which have a far mores solid (albeit limited) track record among frequent posters in this forum.

I've got half-a-dozen pictures at home of completely ruined Skunk2 LCA bushings all only after a few months of use. And yes, they are the latest bushing as far as I know. The ones with the notches.

The new and old bushings have notches in them. The new have five while the old ones have eight(?) I believe. I cannot recall what was improved about them but we'll see since I finally got mine on.

From Skunk2: "Our new bushings will have 5 grooves in them, our old ones will have 8"

The ones in the video are with the new compound, and have the 5 notches.

This is correct. When you install them, lightly tighten the bolts when the car is up in the air(suspension unloaded). When you are finished, drop the car and let it sit(suspension loaded). Then go under and torque each bolt to spec. If you tq the bolts while the car is in the air and then drop the car, the bushings may sit twisted and will prematurely wear out.

What I did was while the car was up in the air I used a scissor jack to push the suspension up to where it would normally be sitting at and then torqued down the bolts.

Yeah doing something like this works well. If you're lowered at all and try to tq the bolts when the car is resting, it's a bit hard to reach under the car and you may not have enough room to turn the tq wrench.

+1 as that is how I did it. Much easier especially on a lowered car.

Just got these on after them sitting in my garage for a few years. Will have to let you know. I will say even the old style bushings are better than that crap I just pulled off of my car. Firm ride. Remove one chrome Type R valve cover and the last of the rice will be history.

Basically any of the "oem style" bushings that are found on aftermarket LCA's are junk. The only ones that are oem style, but hardened and last for a long time are the Hard-Race ones and PIC's. Other than that its only F7/S2 really. I am curious of how the Buddyclub Bushings are holding up as they look nearly identicle to the S2 style.

Anyone have pictures of how the first generation of bushings failed on them? I am curious how they wore since the center metal bushing can spin somewhat freely. Hmm

They wear when they start binding. Then the binding causes the bushings to tear themselves up. You actually want them to move around. That's why it's important to keep them lubricated.

Edit: -- this is only true for poly bushings -- rubber bushings should fit very tightly and there should be no free movement in either the inner or outer collars.

Yup. Yup. Not enough lube? Sat in the garage too long and dry rotted (they were sitting about 2 years.)? Had to put the old POS ones back on that have no provision for a swaybar.
