Default car wont turn over with f20b pcb ecu

i have a 97 accord lx..swaped the motor in our selfs and sent it to a shop out in whittier ca to do all the wiring...i found out that the f20b ecu (pcb) i got wont let the car start. after plugin in the poj ecu the stock ecu it start and runs but of course with out vtec now whats makin it harder is my car is auto so if somebody ran into this same situation..can u tell whats happin and if i can the pcb chipped or something..where i can get it done?... or what ecu will work any help is much appreciated

Did they leave the injector resistor in place? If they did leave the resistor, only 7 volts will be applied to the injectors. The F20b injectors need 12 volts to energize.

im pretty sure it was in. but the thing is it started right away with the poj ecu right after we found out the jdm ecu didnt turn it, so i really dont think that is it

I believe that F20B ECU's got a Immobilizer that keeps it from starting. Doesn't match the key it's looking for; therefore, it won't start. I say convert it to OBD1 and run a chipped ECU then get it tuned to run at it's best.

^That's probably it.

Time to do it right and get Hondata S300 and tune it to your mods.

The resistor box lowers the current to the injector coils not the voltage. The injector coils in a peak and hold circuit (resistor box) still see battery voltage (11v-15v).

yea its not the battery i just bought it like 4 months ago from honda so i doubt ita the voltage..i called a guy from rywire and he said that the ecu i have should not have a immoblizier unless it a ecu thhats 98 and up is there a way to check what year the ecu is from

AFAIK the 97-01 PCB F20B ECU is OBD2 and it does have an immobilizer. To find out you can open up the ECU case and look for the IMMO board. It should look something like this.

i looked for it couldnt find anything like that i ttok some pics where i looked at hopefuly they

now there is something else i found out there is a chip of some sort that "blocks" the immobilizer. should i give this a try ... i kno i still would have to get the jumper harness.. i will be attempting this my self so any site refrence or thread will be appreciated
