Icon2 Safe boost

Alright I'm new to all this turbo deals, im used to my chevy small blocks, so I have a B16A2 and I've different things about what safe boost will be on it for dayly driving. I've heard anything up to 10PSI is safe.
So, here i am asking what you guys have done.

On what turbo? Read all the FAQs above. PSI means nothing so using it as a power marker of some sort is wrong.

T3/T4 is just a housing configuration that the wheels are in. There are over 20 different combinations that make a "T3/T4". In direct answer to your question, the stock engine can take about 350whp at maximum. But that its maximum safe limit.

From what I have been told from local shops as well as people online is that its not a matter of what PSI is safe, but what horsepower is safe.

Seems like 350whp on a stock B series engine is the line in the sand. Some blow with less power and some can handle more power. A lot depends on your tune and supporting mods as well as the general health of the engine.

With a good tune. 350whp as theShodan said is pushing it. most people on stock B series pump gas are around 300 give or take. You wont have any worries about blowing up unless it's your own fault of the tuners.

Yah 5th gear pulls dont happen with me I'm building this car as an autocross go-Kart type of deal so... Pulls are never anything over 2nd
Also the engine is in great health. I just had it all apart and It is the cleanest engine ive ever seen besides a brand new one and it has 60k on it

Auto X is tough, even on a b16. I have found that many of the cone killers out there usually take to superchargers moreso than even turbochargers.

That said, if you want to do turbocharger, stay small.. VERY SMALL, like T3 super 60 in a journal bearing package, or GT28R (Not GT2860RS). Being about 35-38lbs/min is about as much as you need for anything auto-X related.

The engine being clean isnt the best indicator of it being in good health. Its not a bad sign, but a leakdown test or compression test would be a better indicator of general engine health. I never had a B series engine apart that had sludge build up. Maybe some dirty oily pistons thats about it.

^ i agree on the leakdown and compression test, but to say you have never seen a b series engine with sludge buildup, like reffering to the b series as being an engine thats superior to other engines against buildup is just plain retarded.

ive seen some pretty **** poor b series engines with chunks of oil like curddled milk. you are right however that just because it is clean doesnt mean a thing since if synthetic oil or oils high in zinc and detergents can make an engine appear to be in good condition since they help clean and prevent buildup.
