Default Ecu swap without dealership?

I've got an 02 honda civic with a bad ecu. I've got a used ecu for it and was wondering what eproms to switch from the bad one into the "new" one so that I don't have to go to the dealership please let me know

The new ECU will still have to be paired for the immobilizer system in the existing car.

Is there any way to do that without going to the dealership or any part I could take out of the old ecu that would work I'm completely new to hondas but willing to give anything a try before I have someone else do things for me

That sucks haha but thank you for your time I would like to stick around and do some custom stuff at some point

You can get an immobilizer bypass for a remote starter... but at about the same expense as gettin the dealer to do it right

I am sorta in the same boat as I have a parts car I wish to start to see if the engine is usable. I have obtained a used key and keylock assembly but need to mate it to the original ECU . There are several folks on ebay selling Chinese copies of a reprogrammer for about 100 bucks that CAN do this job. I have no personal experience using one, but see it as a possible option. Check out immobilizer programmers for Honda on U Tube.
