Is there any way to do that without going to the dealership or any part I could take out of the old ecu that would work I'm completely new to hondas but willing to give anything a try before I have someone else do things for me

Re: Ecu swap without dealership?
I am sorta in the same boat as I have a parts car I wish to start to see if the engine is usable. I have obtained a used key and keylock assembly but need to mate it to the original ECU . There are several folks on ebay selling Chinese copies of a reprogrammer for about 100 bucks that CAN do this job. I have no personal experience using one, but see it as a possible option. Check out immobilizer programmers for Honda on U Tube.
