1991 CRX Si
Got a 1991 CRX Si as my daily driver while I swap my motor.
Very dirty when I got it
Cleaned it up
I think it needs a new headgasket, not sure. Plan to clean it up and then daily like a boss. Once my sedan is finished this will be my auto-x car.

Re: 1991 CRX Si
Well I'm in the process of swapping my built motor into my EK sedan, so once that's done it'll be time to really work on this. I haven't figured out how I want to build this car yet. Possibly boost but I haven't decided

Re: 1991 CRX Si
Love driving it. It will be my autocross car next season.
Put the winter wheels on
Got a NRG suede 320mm steering wheel
Sparco Ultra bucket seat
And a sweet birthday present from my friend, G-Force Pro Vintage helmet.
My heater takes 20 minutes to get warm, I bought a new thermostat but haven't install it yet. The valve opens/closes fine so I'm hoping it's the t-stat

We got about 2" in town, that pic was at Cooper's Rock on top of a mountain...they got over 4" there. Wisp Resort opening date is Dec. 17th, I'm ready to go snowboarding!
Nice to see a local on the forums, I often go to Washington/Pittsburgh for parts.

Washed her and went on a drive today, made a few (boring) videos with my GoPro. Also took some pictures.

Re: 1991 CRX Si
Squeaks really bad everytime I turn the wheel. Passenger outer tie rod boot is ripped, axle boot cracked and sprayed grease everywhere. I'm waiting until my turbo gets here for my other car, then this car is going to stay in the garage all winter and get a new headgasket as well as maintenance.
Speaking of which, my overflow tank overflows on longer interstate trips and I'm losing coolant somewhere. Sounds like a headgasket to me, previous owner overheated the car due to a cracked radiator. Let's just hope the head isn't warped

New tie rod and axle, bought the wrong one at first
Then went to advance, they gave me a box that barely closed. New one is beefier and has a blue boot, also has a zerk fitting instead of sealed boot. Wonder if it's a better one?
And the old axle, I was tired of slinging grease inside my wheels

Re: 1991 CRX Si
I fixed the squeaky lower balljoint and took her out for a drive. Some mid-40's guy who just got off work didn't look as he pulled out, side-swiping my passenger side and turning me around into a ditch. FFFFUUUUUU
If it's totalled I'm gonna try buy it back.

noooooo!! I love this car! What's the status with insurance people? Are they writing it off or fixing it?
By the way, your photos are awesome! What did you use to edit them and most importantly want to share your secrets on how to edit them? Namely, the pictures of the car near the red brick wall. Looks so neat, lighting is great!
