Default car stereo confusion with hooking it up?

i got a 97 civic ex and i just pulled the stock stereo out, im trying to replace it with a pioneer DXT-2369UB stereo but on the back it only has one plug, and an antenna slot. The antenna slot in the car definitely doesn't fit the pioneer stereo, and there's two plugs. what do i have to do? do i have to cut the wire harness and just wire the colors together? and is there some kind of adapter i can get to make the antenna plug fit?

DON'T CUT ANYTHING!!!
Post a picture of your dilemma. I have a Pioneer deck and have no issues with the antenna or any of the wiring.

There are adapters you can get that require NO hacking of the stock wires.

If you cut one I will come to your house and break your fingers.

A lot of the time you can buy a harness for about $15 or so, which allows you to just plug in the radio and plug into the stock harness. No cutting, no splicing, no work at all. Just plug everything in.

I'm used to antenna plugs usually just plugging right in, but I've seen adapters for those before as well.

Typically you need a t harness, and hide the stock ex radio in the lower dash if you want the dome light and keyless to still work, or you can jump it, there should be a sticky on it.

As for antenna you must be looking at the wrong spot on the pioneer, they are universal, check again, look in the manual or should be marked on the pioneer radio. or post a pic.

here's links to the pictures of the connections, and the back of the pioneer radio. not sure how to connect all of these together.
i bought a wire harness, but the green one still needs to be plugged in somewhere, and even with the harness i dunno how it would plug to the back of the pioneer radio.

That rather large hole to left of the main harness is the antenna plug.

That green plug will not have any where to go on the new HU, you shouldn't need it. I don't have one in my car.

Did yours come with a cd changer, or tape deck?

As stated the green plug is NOT the antenna. The antenna needs to be fished out of the dash. It also looks likes you have some other aftermarket connectors (that white round one) there that you won't be able to use on this new deck.

The green plugs I think are for the keyless and dome light or something like that. The white plug is the only one that's radio related.

For keyless to work you'll have to retain the stock radio somewhere behind the dash. There is a simple wiring fix for the dome light though.

This is how all USDM 1996-1998 Civics are (though not all have the keyless/alarm).

Looks like the hole on the far left is for the antenna.

Looks like you used a reg harness and not a T harness. The green plug goes into the stock radio, if you use the T harness you keep the stock radio plugged in, hide it and then plug in the aftermarket radio. The linked to installdr tells you how to do it.
