98 Coupe - want to swap seats over
Yeah, my drivers gets it by far the most use on it daily, hate to say it, I really enjoy my car. How much of a pain will it be to remove the foam insertand seat material from one and then to the next one, you know, side to side? Pretty neat way to do a nice cheap fix on my own car, Can I make it make it happen by myself during a weekend? This broken old military guy can still follow instructions pretty well!
I hardly ever have anyone ride wirh me, and it cost just your my own labore. And some beer....
So what are your thoughts and advice?
Many Thanks - George

you wanna swap the foam/padding in the seats? Cant you just switch ur driver and passenger seat to the other spot? maybe get some recaro or sparco seats if their in your budget....they are really really comfy!

1st thing i do when ever i buy an ek is get rid of the stock seats, they aren't so good. Any 94-01 Integra seat will bolt directly in, as long as you swap the inner rails back to the original civic part (only takes about 15 mins per side)
Here is a pic of a civic and integra seat side by side.....the integra one sits lower too
After install......into a 2000 coupe

Stock EK seats are terrible IMO. However, I am not sure how you would swap seat cushions. I am sure you can find someone local selling a decent set for like $40 if that helps you at all.

You will have to clip off the hog rings holding the fabric tight and swap the foam over, then ziptie the fabric back on (or use new hog rings). Not really worth it unless you are reupholstering your seats with new fabric and using the old as a template.

Re: 98 Coupe - want to swap seats over
Sure it's worth it if all I am spending is time! I spent $2,750 for the entire car - I like to keep things within a reasonable budget. The pass side seat almost never gets used. I'll figure out the cushion swap - hog rings and a pair of pliers will be the way to go for me. Thanks for the input.
