98 HONDA ACCORD HESITATING WHEN ACCELERATING
My neighbors car is hesitating or loses power when they accelerate. They took it to FIRESTONE and was told that the car is running fine, and that the issue might be the CATALYTIC CONVERTER..which in turn i said BS..my guess is maybe the fuel filter is clogged. I thought about the injectors being clogged somewhat as well, but i may be wrong. So my question is what might be causing this issue? And a solution of what to check for. THANK YOU TO ALL IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP ON THIS MATTER.

Re: 98 HONDA ACCORD HESITATING WHEN ACCELERATING
undo exhaust pipe just before catalytic converter and road test to see if better.
this is legit. blow through a straw with a clean screen .... now clog the f&*^ out of the screen and try to blow. if your engine cannot get rid of its waste (exhaust) then it will choke, misfire, buck, jerk and all kinds of sh*t
if it runs better after driving it with unpiped exhaust then you do have a clog issue ... now weather its the cat or not is to be told. you can unbolt your cat and have tested by a muffler shop.

I guess the pipe removal wouldnt be a bad idea to check and see if its even an issue, but its worth a shot..thank you again.
