Default F22A6 motor on H22 block ? Possible ?

Hi everyone,

I know this might sound quite strange but I wanted to know if an F22A motor can be rebuilt onto an H22 block.

My F22 has a crack betweeen cilinders 3 and 4. I've looked but there's not much hope I can find another block to have it swapped.

I am not still sure with my block can be repaired but if it turns out unrepairable, I'm stuck in a dead-end.

So, this is why I ask this ... can anyone confirm if I could have my engine rebuilt on a H22 block ? Everyhing else would be from the F22 ( crankshaft, head, etc etc ... ) but I really needed to know this to try and make a decision on what to look for.

Thanks for your help.

NO POINT!!!! I assume you probably want to do this because you blew your F22 block and have an H22 handy?? If not, none the less its still not gonna be a good ide. Just do a F22 block with H22 head. AKA G22 or G23. It will be cheaper in the long run anyways.

Thanks for your help.

The thing is ... F22 blocks are almost impossible to find. I do not have any H22 available as well but if I look for one, I'm sure I can find one over here ( and almost sure I won't find any F22s as well ).

Not because I want to but because I need to ... if I was to build a mongrel, it could NOT be with an F22 block.

I'm still waiting to find out if mine can be repaired or not ... first of all.

No need. My original block's crack will be fixed and cilinders rebuilt.
Thanks for help anyway.
