Sam's 98 CR-V - HELP! Engine codes P0172 & P0170

Hi everyone. My 98 5-speed CR-V is giving me codes P0172 (fuel too rich) and P0170 (pending, fuel malfunction I think). The funny thing is that the codes come on about once a week, then the codes go away later that same day.

I've replaced the air filter, the fuel pressure regulator, cleaned the MAF sensor, and cleaned something else (forget).

Any thoughts?

How did you manage to clean the MAF?There is no MAF on your CR-V.Anyway,start by checking the coolant sensor,if it reads correctly.It is the easy to do that first thing in the morning(you need the scanner ) and read the difference between IAT and ECT sensors.They should be within 2 degrees Celcius I think.Does your tune is up to date?If the coil,wires ,cap,rotor,spark plugs aren't delivering fire properly it might run reach.Check also the MAP sensor for proper readings.Oxygen sensor which is shorted to power could give that code also.But again scanner would tell you all the details.
