Default Where does fuel tank vent sensor connect

I'm assuming to the hard line that runs to the tank, but I have no idea.Looks like the engine has been out of the car before and someone jacked up some of vacuum lines.Fuel tank vent sensor is just dangling, has two ports on the bottom but no hoses attached.I'm thinking this is what tells the ECU to open the purge solenoid and allow trapped vapor in the charcoal canister to be sucked into the engine and burned.I'm getting a P0441 code, insufficient purge for EVAP.Checked purge solenoid and its good,my UK Helms manual doesn't show a diagram. Thanks in advance.
