Default LSD or no LSD

Hi Guys,

Just a quickie....

I have bought an F20B and auto from a local dismantler for a steal - problem is I wanted to get an F20B with manual but not available here in Oz.

I have stumbled onto some cheap open centre diff manuals as trying to obtain a T2T4 or M2B4 (or similar) LSD diff is nigh on impossible, and if they are around, they want stupid money!

So, the question is, can I put an aftermarket LSD, like Kaaz etc, into an open centre diff, or is it only applicable to replace OEM LSD with aftermarket LSD.

Any info gratefully received.

Cheers,
Tricky

Thanks Champ,

MFactory seem to have a good wrap - good product, nice price...!!

A lot cheaper than tryin to buy a t2T4 or T2W4 here in Oz!!!

The Quaife / Wavetrac / Etc / Etc LSD will handle a lot more than the Stock Limited Slip Honda Differentials.

Although on Light power, I love my Honda Limited Slip :D

Excellent feedback, thanks guys.

Well, seeing as I couldnt find a Honda OEM LSD for anything less than my first born, I have purchased a 2nd hand, but in excellent condition standard Honda manual gearbox for the princely sum of - $350!!

I thought I got a good deal...

Anyway, its a M2K4 numbered trans that was AusDM only.

Looking up the charts and tables for Honda transmissions, it is a bit of a weird gearing - but perfect for my Honda-powered, mid-engined, RWD Mini racecar! First is quite low at 3.307:1, second through fourth gears are quite close, and fifth is tall at 0.757:1..... Final drive is fairly tall as well at 4.062:1 giving 100.11 km/hr (60m/hr) at 3200rpm!!

So, once the box is delivered, I will be hunting around for an aftermarket helical LSD - most likely a MFactory - Quaife very expensive here!!

Cheers,
Tricky
