Im totally stumped. Im sure the answer is very simple I just can seem to figure it out. Ive read and looked at how tos and diagrams online but all of them are showing how to do it with two actuators for passenger and driver power locks. I only want to use one actuator to power the driver door.

I have a two wire actuator and two wires coming off my alarm one is more unlock output(-) and the other is lock output (-). How do I wire these up???

You need two relays or purchased the pre-made version (DEI 451M)

If you want to use two relays, it's not that hard to make.

On relay #1:
Connect ground to pin 87A
Connect +12 volts to pin 87 and also pin 86
Connect the alarm's (-) Lock output to pin 85
Connect one of the actuator wires to pin 30

On relay #2:

Connect ground to pin 87A
Connect +12 volts to pin 87 and also pin 86
Connect the alarm's (-) Unock output to pin 85
Connect the other actuator wire to pin 30

You can clean up the wiring by using one +12 feed and splitting it near the relays, and same for the ground. Make sure you put an inline fuse NEAR where you're getting the +12 power feed so should a wire short or something else go wrong the fuse blows. You shouldn't need more than a 15 amp fuse for one actuator.

Now when you mount the actuator, test it's function BEFORE you put the door panel back on as depending on which way you mount it will determine if the wires going to it need to be flipped for it to function properly (IE> if you just wire it up and don't test, when you hit LOCK it may in fact unlock the doors if it's wired facing one way vs the other).

To do more actuators, if you don't care about priority unlocking, just split the wires you run to the drivers door actuator to the other actuator(s)

You can use a diagram for two actuators. They're wired in parallel so you can just cut the passenger side out of the diagram.

I have one Bosch relay with working oem Honda actuator. Can I get it to work with only one relay? Or do I have to use 2 relays?

It's a 5 prong relay with 87,87a,30,86,85. Thanks in advance!


Edit: I have an alarm with a trunk/hatch botton with an Aux output wire

If you are using the actuator as a trunk release, then all you need is one relay.

If it is for the stock power door locks, then no relay is needed.

If you have installed a "oem Honda actuator" in your drivers door and you do not have the PDLCU, [control unit] you will need two (2) SPST relays, [5 prong relay], one relay is for lock the second is for unlock.

So the question is, what are you using the " oem Honda actuator" for? 94

well I have a 1996 Integra, its the RS base trim w/no power locks. I had an alarm put in, than months after had Power locks put in. The next day the drivers door didnt wanna open by the remote, so i got fed up and didn't care. Next day the passenger didnt wanna open. Weeks later i went to PickNPull and took the actuators from a riced out civic, the fronts were 4 wire the rears were 2 wire.

I took off both my door panels, tested the actuators, than modified the civic actuators to mount to my doors, I have power locks still.

I have extra actuators, my car came with a kill switch using a relay but I had it taken out, since it was wired wrong.

That leaves me with actuators and one relay..I've searched, and used a diagram but it didn't work..so I'm wondering how to wire up the relay to the actuator than plug it to my alarm trunk/hatch signal wire..

If you do not have the power door lock control unit for the Civic actuators you will need two relays, [SPDT].

You will only use two (2) of the wires off each actuator, [the other 2 wires are for the switch in the actuator, or just use the rear two wire actuators.

You need to wire the actuators to two (2) relays, one is for unlock the other is for lock.

The alarm and Power Locks were installed at an audio shop. The cheap actuators burned out, The were those basic eBay actuators. I got 4 actuators from a junkyard and plugged them in, since i have relays and a harness for the power lock that the audio shop installed, they work fine. It was plug and play.

Question, how do i wire a relay to an acuator, and plug it to my alarm using an aux wire thats used for a truck/hatch? I just need to pop the hatch open, so ill only need 1 relay..but what numbers do i plug the signal wire, ground, actuator?

OIC, you are using the actuator for a trunk release.

The relay will be use to supply power to the actuator...

#30 from a fused 12V constant.
#87a not used.
#87 to one of the leads of the actuator, ground the other actuator lead.
Which actuator lead goes to the relay and which is grounded will depend on if your using the actuator to push or pull, [I recommend pull].
#85 12V constant, jumper from #30.
#86 from trunk release EXT output of alarm. 94
