The air direction on my car doesnt work for the face only position. It works for all the others. The light does light up when I press the face only button, but it doesnt change anything, it just stay on whatever position it was on last. I have to use the face and foot to get it to my face. It is now summer, and I do not want to be wasting my limited A/C cooling my foot. What should I check to get this resolved?

may sound dumb, but did you check to see if the vents are open. maybe you closed them one day and forgot about it.

lol. No. I have had this problem for a few months now. The center ones doesnt work either. It just doesnt activate the motors to change the setting when I push the button for the face only position.

Anyone has any new ideas? My face only electric vent position still does not work.

you should be able to hear the servos moving everything even with the blower off

my accord is a 6th gen so it might be different but it sound like there is one big *** motor that just stops in different positons to change the modes

give me some more specific info on the car and i can look if i can find a part number or diagram


my accord has something busted down in the same ares too because my driver face vent is stuck open

take a look at parts 9 and 10

the cable could have popped of or been busted

Mode control motor/module. From the drivers floor board, look up at the HVAC unit....should see it, it will have the slides and levers. They sometimes stick (I have a 95 that does every now and then). Check/lube the slides as best you can. Switch modes and feel, push on the levers (GENTLY). See if that frees it up. If not time to get out the manual and do some testing of the electrical system.

my car does this to, to a point. i cant go directly to face only, it never works. but if I hit face/feet and then face...it works. I just deal with it.
