what clusters fit 2000 si?
So I think my cluster is bad because when i disconnect the vss the speedometer stays at 20mph, connected or not. I changed the vss thinking that was the problem but i think its the cluster since it does not change if disconnected. I was curious on what cluster will fit? Like a lx cluster, integra cluster?

Re: what clusters fit 2000 si?
is there a way to just test my cluster to see if it is the cluster then before purchasing a new one? Everything works besides the speedometer. The cel came on before with code 17 and since i replaced the vss the cel has not come back but it is still not working on cluster. I figured since when i unplugged the vss and the cluster did not drop to 0 it has to be the cluster. Am i correct or could it be something else as well?

Re: what clusters fit 2000 si?
I know that it is not stuck just because when the car is turned off it sits at 0 but as soon as I turn key to on position if flips up to the 20mph mark.
What makes people think its not the cluster? What else could it be if I tested the harness and all voltage is good. Is there a way to run a seperate speedometer? Like put one in a pod or something? Its really annoying not knowing speed and I drive highway a lot which means Im not really going slow most of the time.

Just ask a friend (with an EK or CRV 95-01) as kaiba stated to help you out and swap clusters to eliminate the cluster being an issue. If ur doin 45 mph in first gear ur **** may be *ucked!!!

Re: what clusters fit 2000 si?
Is it normal to disconnect the vss and the cluster still reads at the 20mph. I am clueless when it comes to electrical. I figured the code 17 meant the vss was bad so i replaced that. Anyone have any opinions on what to do? I did get a multimeter but i really dont know what to do. I did hold the middle pin on the harness and the right outter one and there was slight continuity. I dont know if that means there is a plice in the wiring or what. If so can I just follow the wires back to the ecu and run new wires directly to it?

Yes, it is. There are 3 screw behind the speedometer. +, - and speed signal.

Re: what clusters fit 2000 si?
what do i do with these screws? Would the speed signal cause my speedometer to stay at a constant speed no matter what? I also find it odd that I looked at my odometer and it has not changed. Would the odometer still change if the car speedo is not working?
