Could this be a double standard? If three 8th grade boys did that to an 11 year old girl, they would have to register as sex offenders.

The only reason they aren't in trouble is because the mom of the boy didn't want to press charges, no double standard here. I'm sure they would have got in trouble but the PD can't do much when you don't want to press charges.

Fort Myers Police says the girl would have faced misdemeanor battery charges, but that the boy's mother has refused to press charges. She wants the girls' parents to hand out a punishment instead.

i pants'd a girl when i was in the 8th grade. it was pajama day. i got sent to the principals office, got a referal. got slapped by girl. went home. dad whooped my ***. then proceeded to embarrass me in front of his friends every time the subject came up.

These kids are pretty young, if it was boys that did it to a girl I'm sure they would be looking at the same charges. You do realize there is juvenile court for a reason right? Kids can get away with anything with a slap on the wrist it doesn't matter if they are male or female.
