Default JDM F22B in a USDM 96 Accord won't rev past 3500

I had to change the oil pump, crank sensors, distributor, and intake manifold from the USDM motor and put them onto the JDM F22b. Now the motor cranks up first time and will drive BUT it won't rev past 3500 like it's hitting a rev limit. Any ideas what could cause this taking into account the things I had to swap or maybe if I missed something? I am using the usdm ecu as well don't know if that matter. HELP

AND it doesn't throw a CEL at all....

You could run into a whole load of problems playin around with ECU's man, that doesn't sound good..

It's in limp mode.

I know it's in limp mode, as stated above I'm using the ecu out of the 96 accord ex vtec that I put the f22b into. I would like to know if anyone knows why it could be in limp mode. It seems that this is a problem ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can solve. It's been like this for several months. I will soon just sell the motor and put an f20b into the accord if I can't figure out why it's in limp mode.

not playing around with any ecu's man, when you swap a JDM motor into a USDM car you have to swap out all of those parts from the old motor for it to work.

Now Honda genious's take into account this is a motor swap. Take into account all the things I had to swap. Now remember it still runs, idles, and drive fine up until 3600 rpms.

Any ideas?

This happened to a buddy of mines Accord. He ended up replacing the distributor and it fixed the problem. If that doesn't work I have no clue...

Ok I fixed it. All I had to do is get a obd2-obd1 conversion harness and stick my p72 on it. Runs great now but waiting to get my p28 tuned up for it and the turbo kit. So for anyone that ever does a JDM f22b into a USDM accord convert it to obd1 or your going to have problems. I mean who new an obd2 motor wouldn't work with an obd2 JDM motor? I didn't...

You must have been trying to use the jdm ecu because it should have been plug and play, if you were using your original USDM ecu like you should have been.

Either that or the connectors on the jdm were all obd-1.
