True enough, it's been a rough week. I'd really like to help this guy, but I'm having a hard time understanding him on the one hand and believing him on the other.

To point to an example, he said he had 40 psi of fuel pressure on the rail, then a week later said he got the gauge ... that seems suspicious to me.

Check those to make sure everything is set right, I've never had a v-afc, can you disable it?

I would just unplug the v-afc if you can and run it on the ECU.

As far as running too rich being the ECU, there are many reasons you can run too rich, dirty sensors, dirty emissions control equipment, vacuum leaks, and on and on.

There is no silver bullet, unless you count troubleshooting.

not to call you out but if you have a vacuum leak it makes you run lean. or at least it would make my car run lean according to my af guage. when i would pull a vacuum line.

I was thinking the extra O2 in the exhaust would cause the ECU to adjust.

I'm never right, I just contribute ideas.

i would not go bigger the 68mm and a bigger tb might make you run even richer then you are now i mean the idea i guess you have is....to much fuel ok **** it throw more air witch sounds right but, iam thinking the ecu will try to adjust for the more air your sucking in with more fuel if you get my idea. but that might work hell i dont no. unplug your vafc like typemismatch said and test it then.

If you go into the vafc adjust all the settings to zero or to where it is not making any adjustments. pull up the manual on the vafc and double check the wiring since you didn't do the install. All h22's run slightly rich from my experience. When i had this exact problem on my 97 Prelude it was my TPS. It had somehow came out of adjustment. Got bumped hard when I put the motor in? I don't know. Still the stock injectors though right?

If I translate this properly, your muffler blew up? For real? Seriously went "BANG!" and blew up??

The only thing I can think of is gas fumes built up and you had a back fire.

Please quit reverting to this form of English you use that we all have a hard time translating, take your time and type your responses carefully. You'll find people are more helpful and friendly when you take the time to express yourself intelligently.

tps= throttle position sensor should just control how your car ideals not sure though but i would think lets say its open to much and your car is idealing to high. you should still be getting the proper mixture of air/fuel. do you have a check engine light on?
