So my question is on the valves im running a bone stock block im not sure wether to by std comp skunk2 valves or high comp ive heard people say that with pro series cams u want high comp valve but im not sure why that is.i dont really understand the whole piston comp thing yet......and also feel free to chim in if u have so suggestions on anything i should add to my list. my goal is around 230-240 whp and between 170-185wtq. am i wishing for to much??

i just bought sk2 high comp valves, they look just like the stock ones.
im not sure sure either about ur question but will your crower dual valve springs/titanium retainers handle those pro 1s

i know super late reply.. car got wrecked right after build was complete. never got tuned.. motor sat for 3 years and now i just put it in a hatch..

as far as the springs and retainers holding up i dont know why they wouldnt. the car was street tuned not to long ago just for daily driving and i was curious and took it to a dyno day and it did surprisingly well for runing conservitive timing. it made 221whp & 159wtq but my over all power band increased alot.

ive attached my old dyno sheet to show the gains.

hard to see the numpers but you get an idea of how the power band changed alot.

Perfect example of how dyno numbers don't mean ****. 20whp difference, same motor.

dyno seem to read very high regardless of what type of dyno it is my cam'd h2b only mabde 196whp but traps 106-107 when gsr/b20v norally make like 190whp and only trap like 100-103
with 221 you should see like 109 trap 12.4s on the 1/4 mile take to the track and see what it runs

ya ive seen all over youtube people with stock h2b and a R tranny breaking into mid 12s on slicks. im only runing Mickey thompson ET Street so well see how she does. im currently tuning on e85 to see if i can sqeeze 10-15 more hp out of here and also installed 100 wet shot last weekend.

im hoping with some seat time this year i will be able to break into the 11s on the bottle. ive been patiently waiting for the track to open up as they have canceled the last two test n tunes due to weather.
