I must have the wrong brakes

I must have the wrong brakes
I have a 1995 civc ex with abs
I have the abs all disconnected so I don't believe that's affecting anything
My problem is that my front brakes were all locked up and needed replacing I put my brother in charge of getting new rotors and one new caliper and some pads. After replacing the rotors I went to put one of the calipers on and it was very tight with the pads in. When it came time to put the other one on it wouldn't fit. And here is the problem.
Something must not be right. Are there different size pads? Maybe ones that are thicker?
Any idea are appreciated I'm at a stand still with my car and would like to get it going

Re: I must have the wrong brakes
you probably didnt get the correct brakepads or rotors? One time the autoshop gave me the wrong pads by mistake to a diff model honda and I was baffled as to why they wouldnt fit.

Re: I must have the wrong brakes
I believe they are compressed all the way I put a clamped it down as tight as it would go
They look to be the same size as the other and the calipers with the pads won't fit over the old ones either
What size should the pads be?
