Need advice with my coilover problem
Hey guys, Ive been on the site lurking and I'm in need for some help. Bought a set of used coilovers from a buddy of mine. One of the rears is missing a bushing so cant bolt up to my LCA. Bought them for cheap and I knew when i did buy them, I get what i paid for. I'll post pics to make it easier for you guys to diagnose. I appreciate it, thanks everyone.
Heres the problem:
Couple of pics to see which F2 they are. They look old school.

Re: Need advice with my coilover problem
From the look of them, they appear to be the first generation Function & Form coilovers. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but even if you did replace the bushing, the dampers are most likely blown. It only took 7 months for all 4 of mine to blow out, back when I bought them brand new. My passenger front strut was so bad, that it made the suspension react as if it had a blown ball joint (over an inch of play on the wheel, due to the blown strut having so much shaft play).

I'd say replace the bushing as well, but like toyotatt84 said, the dampers would most likely be blown. Do you know how long your buddy had them installed?
Also I would maybe suggest that if your looking for a cheaper set up initially (later on upgrade to full coliovers), start with coilover sleeves with adjustable shocks. A buddy of mine picked up a used set for 3 bills.
