open/cut intake?!?!
ive seen people who cut the bottom of their intake box to suck in more air they say.. but personally i dont see it being better ... am i wrong? other than the fact of making more noise i dont think it makes the engine breathe better , is it bad or is it good?

Re: open/cut intake?!?!
lol what ive done is simply removed the lower half of the box completely and glued the filter in the top half....doesnt give and noticeable horsepower really but it makes it louder under throttle as far as bag vs good...it shouldnt hurt it any just make sure the filter stays in..i would just go get a real intake

It really doesn't make any performance difference. Sure it makes more noise an your A$$ dyno thinks your going faster. That's because it's louder and you can't seem to keep your gas foot off the floor.
Better off getting a high grade OEM box filter replacement. Or upgrade to a full aluminum intake and cone filter. Even then it's still more of a more sound and heavy foot type of performance gains......
Sounds pretty good if you like your car to sound like a vacuum with a bit of a growl.......
