Default Is this "limp mode"

1997 Accord Ex 2.2 I just had transmission failure and got another automatic put in. Today while driving the D4 "Drive 4" light was flashing. Never done this prior but when flashing car loses power. Immediately turn off and start again and light goes away. All help is appreciated
