My fit wheel refinishing project
To start off this projects purpose is to be cheap, switching to R-Comp tires and I need a set of street wheels/tires for the street
I came across a set of Fit sport wheels for $50 beat tires and some bright blue paint.
Step 1 tires removed
Step 2 removed blue paint (media blasted)
Step 3 quickly sanded down the rough areas caused by blasting
Step 4 Etching primer to help bonding to bare aluminum
Let dry 24 hrs sand
Step 5 Filler primer to fill imperfections.
Presently drying....
Still undecided on color, was considering silver spokes with gunmetal windows and barrels.
Tips, comments welcome. This is my first attempt at refinishing wheels.
Car for reference.
