I have a jdm h22a... I know they don't have a vtec oil pressure switch... But can I get a usdm vtec oil pressure switch and bolt it up to a jdm vtec solenoid... I know u can jump the oil pressure switch but don't want to do that

Yes, you certainly may. It bolts right up to the vtec solenoid. My h22a is jdm also and I run with the oil pressure switch on my solenoid.

na i dont think you need to buy an oil pressure swich i was having the same prob this proformance specialist says all i need to is to wire the oil pressure and vtec together in one wire and then u shouldbe good. JDM MOTORS dont have oil pressure and american has. hope this helps

Well... Contender_h22a said he running it now... Jdm h22 has a spot for the oil pressure switch it has a bolt in it place... Just wasn't sure if u can still run the switch on the jdm vtec solenoid...

Mine came with the oil pressure switch, seems to be random or perhaps some years did while others didn't possibly changing half way through production. Just take the bolt out and screw in an oil pressure switch and wire it up. IMO it's a good thing to have since if your oil pressure isn't right it wont allow vtec to work letting you know something is potentially wrong with the engine as usually if it gets bad enough for an oil light flash it can sometimes be too late.

i hook up mine today at the proformance shop by connecting two wire into one and test run it and the vtec came in at 5500 rpm.
