Ok, lets say X engine can hold 300whp on stock internals

Lets say Big turbo can deliver 250whp on 6psi

Lets say Small turbo can deliver 250whp on 12 psi

Does it all equal the same thing? (i would be just as safe running 12 psi on a small turbo as i would 6psi on a bigger)


Whenever I read a thread on how much boost a certain motor can take, people always say X amount of psi. But psi depending on turbo equals cfm so wtf


by the way....for a more direct example, I'm refering to an SiRII motor

people that say you can only run x psi should just be ignored. whatever it takes to get to the goal is what you run.

in the theoretical sense yes it should all be the same, rods and pistons are such are rated in horsepower because they are designed to handle the power of the explosion of air and gas during combustion, so 250hp is 250hp regardless of how you get there.
