hey guys so i recently swapped my poormans type r motor into my brothers eg hatch everyhtings wired up fine just have no speed sensor at the moment but when the motor was in my ek hatch it ran really good only diffrence is its obd1 now and it has no msd (idk if the car was tuned for the msd set up form previous owner) and it now has a obd1 ls dizzy that is gettiing spark any sugestions? spark plugs are in fine and were changed recently changed ...but getting back to the issue it takes forever to accel and feels very slugish also when i tap the gas at idol the rpm will drop down then go up tps is fine just recalibrated it and the map sensor was just changed...need help!

should i try getting a ob1 vtec dizzy and using a diffrent ecu?

I had this same exact problem with my ls/vtec. I couldn't figure it out. I went from changing tps and map sensors to changing ecus. Checkin the timing. Wired the fuel injectors straight to my ecu. But I was also using a obd2 ls dizzy with an obd1 adapter. I just ended up selling the motor for dirt cheap. Hope some one can help you out so you don't make that decision

yeah man ***** really rdiculous i tried almost everything only thing i havent tried is a new dizzy and changing the ecu's when it was in my ek hatch it ran perfect

did u check the order of the spark plugs cables try to use a b series dizzy if it ran fine on your other car it could be that or the ecu on that car hope that helps

the spark plugs and cables are fine in perfect order my old hatch had a msd set up with a obd2 b16 dizzy wich was fine..this obd1 dizzy i have is a ls one could the dizzy be ****ing up?

it could maybe be the coil that is messed up or something try a friends dizzy or ecu

yeah i was gonna try that in the morning..and the reason why i wanna try a diffent ecu because the ek had a msd set up idk if it was tunned for the msd or what..
