Probably the sensor in the buckle...honda warrantys beats and buckles for life if they fail on their own...but if its a salvage title you pay out of pocket.

There's been some stories lately of Honda refusing to fix the seat-belt components at their own cost, for various reasons. Usually due to seat swaps and such.

car is all original, never wrecked, seats never been swapped. Guy did nto tell me which/what code it was, only that it was the drivers seat belt latch. Was just going to to try and fix it myself instead of messing with the dealership... while I was trying to fix the other stuff that im still waiting on parts for.

As mentioned by m_shake, contact your local dealership about replacing the seat belt buckle.

how expensive is this sensor?
The seatbelt light is on in my 2004 civic lx. i was going to try to reset the light.
