WASSUP HONDA-TECH..I HAVE AN ANNOYING PROBLEM THAT OVE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE FOR THE LONGEST. ITS KINDA SAD THAT I GO TO LINCOLN TECH INSTITUTE AND NONE OF THE TEACHERS CAN FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM..EITHER THERE FREAKING LAZY OR THERE JUS REALLY STUPID...
THE PROBLEM: SO MY CAR STARTS FINE IN THE MORNING AND THEN IF I DRIVE IT AROUND FOR LIKE SAY 10MIN 2O MIN. THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF...NO BOGS NO STRUGGLE JUS SHUTS OFF....I GO TO TRY TO START IT BUT IT JUST CRANKS BUT DOESNT START. BUT IF I WAIT LIKE 5MIN AND THEN TRY STARTING IT AGAIN IT WILL CRANK AND START BUT THEN WILL SHUT OFF IN A WINDOW FROM 2MIN TO 15MIN..THEN THE SAME PROCESS I WILL HAVE TO DO OVER AND OVER... THINGS I HAVE CHANGED THAT MIGHTVE BEEN THE PROBLEM IGNITION COIL IGNITOR MAIN FUEL RELAY FUEL FILTER SPARK PLUGS N WIRES CHECKED THE IGN TIMING AND BELT TIMING THEN I CHANGED MY DISTRIBUTOR 3 TIMES TO MAKE SURE THEY WERENT DEFECTED..... I MAKE SURE TO HEAR THE RELAY CLICK WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED TO ON AND THEN TURNED OVER WHICH I HEAR...I ALSO HEAR MY FUEL PUMP PRIMING SO I DONT THINK ITS THAT THIS IS REALLY ANNOOYING A MECHANIC TOLD ME ITS PROBABLY MY ECU OR DISTRIBUTORAND I TOLD HIM I CHANGED THE DIZZY 3 TIMES. SO LEAVES ME WITH CHANGING MY ECU WHICH I HAVENT DONE YET.. ARE 1990'S INTEGRAS NONE FOR THIS PROBLEM?? PLEASE HELP NOT EVEN A JAPANESE MECHANIC CAN TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH MY CAR ![]() DO YOU THINK THAT MAYBE I CHANGED THE DISTRIBUTOR 3 TIMES THE IGNITOR KEEPS GETTING FRIED? |

if u start the car and leave it on does it shut off? like turn it on and walk away...
or does it only shut off if u drive it? idk what steps to diagnose u have done so just saying what i have done. turn it on let it idle till the point where the fans kick in.. then do the wiggle test..might be a loose connection to the dizzy happened to me awhile back ago

yeaaa thats wat i said to myself but my ECU is giving me a code 15 which is the coil or ignitor... ive changed it 3 times from the same auto parts store they must be using bad cheap partss........im ordering a distributor for distributorking.com hopefully this clears the problem

okk so i got a new distributor and my car isnt starting its just cranking and no cel is coming on-__-... wwhat a headache....i pulled out the spark plug and grounded it while cranking and theres no spark.... help ne1

Quit buying junk auto zone distributors lol. Check evrything over again. Did you hook it up right? Check to make sure power going in. You need to find a known running car and borrow the dizzy and see if it runs yours.

the distributor is from parts authority if that makes it any better lol....both harnesses are connected right and so is the firing order..i do have fuel and air but no spark-__-.. i dont know anyone with a DA

I see. My neighbor went thru 4 of the auto zone ones. He was gettin ready to tear into motor and I put my dizzy on and fired it up. Just because something is new doesnt mean it works. Can you test for power at the harness?
