Default HOW TO REMOVE BOLT FROM HARMONIC BALANCER PULLEY

I am attempting to replace the water pump on my grandson.s F22B2 2.2 L. engine. To remove it, I don't know whether to turn it counter-clockwise (which would be normal) or clockwise which would be unusual.

I need to help him, please help me. Which way do I turn it to loosen it, so I can remove cover to replace water pump.

Is there anything special I should know (do's or dont's) when replacing the water pump after I get the cover off the front of the engine?

Grandpa would really appreciate some help. Can't afford to take to shop.

counterclockwise. You need to use an impact. You can use this http://www.denlorstools.com/home/dt1...and_acura.html to lock the harmonic balancer and use it to reapply the balancer with the proper torque specs

Thank you for the reply. I had purchased the tool you suggested and with your info I got the bolt out.

Thanks, again.
