Im trying to choose a chute and cant make up my mind, Deist, simpson, stroud etc... Are there any of them that has caused people problems or a brand not to get?

Wouldnt the super comp be a little small? less your car weighs like 2100lbs?


((Weight of car, in pounds) X (Speed, in mph)) ÷ 1,000

For example: (1,600 X 150) ÷ 1,000 = 240

This is the MAX limit for S/C. If you have a higher number than this, you require a stronger chute.

S/C 240 or less
S/G 330 or less
C/E 400 or less
P/S 460 or less
Alcohol / Fuel Rail Must use 2 chutes /
Alcohol / Fuel Funny Must use 2 chutes /

don't go by that calculation -- it isn't correct for FWD cars at all - the back of our cars are relatively light so you don't want a big chute on the car, it will lift the back of the car if it is mounted wrong and will not be fun slowing down

the Super Comp chute is used on many 170 MPH + FWD Street Cars -- works great

there a video on youtube of the grt civic at the end of the track when the shute opens it almost crashes the back slides all over the place....

We have a shroud. Just packed it for the first time today. We will need it on at BOTI, but I don't see us throwing it. I packed it, so cross your fingers it opens if Reid needs it

Lol. i have the same feeling, I packed mine last season. I also used to pack skydiving chutes, scary huh?

Stroud 410 on my 240.. I tested it on a closed road at 160mph and it nearly pulled my eye ***** out of my sockets..

my 240 weighs 3050lb with me in it I weigh 195lb and trap just over 150..
