Disable autolock doors
Greetings. I'm not a big fan of the auto door locks. I am fully capable, and want to be able to lock them all when I want to, not when I start rolling. PLUS, it's aggravating when you stop, cut the engine and just the driver door unlocks. Is there a way to get them ALL to unlock or better yet to just disable the entire automatic locking ?
Many thanks for a reply.

The owner's manual has specific instructions on programming the door locks to unlock. What year is your car and coupe or sedan? (Some Accords have different owner's manuals for sedan and coupe; but, the instructions should be similar)

Even though you have the owner's manual, here are the instructions; they are from a 2009 Accord sedan owner's manual; but, should be the same for your 2010 (8th gen Accord):

This is awesome! Thanks for the info. The owner's manual I had for my buddy's coupe did NOT have this info, but it worked like a charm.

Re: Disable autolock doors
I was running a vacuum cleaner from the cigarette lighter on my Honda 2003 Accord EX. The keys are in the ignition and the ignition is on. The driver's door is open (with the wire running through to the vacuum cleaner), so is the trunk. My baby is in the car seat in the back and it is hot, hot, hot outside. The wind blows my driver's door partially closed -- I can get my fingers in, but cannot open the door. The autolock feature has locked all doors. Help! help! help!
It's all true, except for the bit about the baby -- but that could have been true. Without the baby, I can undo the back seat --- but it won't go down because it is held back by a seat belt. I can open the small door, but I can't get through that.
I can get a wire through the crack in the driver's door, but haven't had any luck pulling up the door lock ****. I try to reach through the door in the back seat to loosen the seat belt that is preventing the whole seat going down -- but no luck so far.
I am so cursing Honda! (I had a spare key, but the Honda dealer lost it!)

Re: Disable autolock doors
Further to my post of 08-26-2014 02:34PM, I have been reading my 2003 Owner's Manual, page 80, which states: "Lockout Prevention If you forget and leave the key in the ignition switch, Lockout Prevention will not allow you to lock the driver's door.".
EITHER THIS ISN'T TRUE, OR SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE AND A RECALL IS NEEDED!
