Re: My EK Hatch Build Thread
about the mirrors and side markers and what not being painted, i know what your gf is talking about, its not my cup of tea to have those black with the car being a diff color mine are all painted to match the car, i think it gives a little more sporty'ness to tha car instead of looking like a bone stock cx or dx, just saying btw tha hatch is looking good guy
Thank man I'm trying... Its not like its a huge build with a lot of money to blow on my side... Its going to take me a while but it will all be done...
yeah the color matching side mirror is much cleaner. about the power folding mirrors, it will cost a lot, it will take you a lot of effort to install, and 90% of the people will never notice it. for the price, i could never justify it.
i considered doing the civic hybrid side mirror swap in my 08 si as well, but after doing some research i soon found out the money was better spent on a brand new exhuast. you'll find that other mods will make a lot more sense "$" wise. i hope this helps you come into terms of dropping the idea. if you do it, i certainly will be one of the 10% of the people who notice the swap and commend you for it, but at the same time i wish that money being spent on other areas. you're build so far is extremely promising. keep it up.

Yes I did put them on stock shock, its not like im taking the car out to the track to autocross it or something. Its my girls car and to make it better its an automatic haha with plans of something better. So as for now yeah the coilovers were put on stock shocks, but you would be surprised how much better it handles. Before i used to take a turn fast and it would feel like the car was going to flip over haha, Now it just hugs the turn.
