Re: The "ALL MOTOR" toaster.
I do appreciate all the kind words, and it's very thoughtful of you all to take the time.
It was tough, but we tucked it so hard it's practically invisible. I think the judges will be impressed at BOTI.
You know what's funny, I was laughing my *** off at the bicycle dyno shootout just yesterday.
Ship me your toaster, we'll get it on the dyno ASAP! :D
Thanks, man.
I'm thinking about it... OHHhhhh, I'm thinking about it. Part of the responsibility of having that kind of power at your finger tips is knowing when to use it. I'm thinking to REALLY let that thing go all out would require a solid weekend at the track. A support crew of 6-10 well trained people, and would probably include the Stig.
I had an adjustable spoiler, chute and wheelie bar lined up for the build. Everything I tried on it took away from the absurdity of the motor, and tended to make it look cluttered so I left it clean. I had a little dizzy and plug wires on it and it made it look less like a sculpture and more like a model. I dunno... didn't look right with the shiny metal tires. I scrounged up a badass 4 slice toaster at a garage sale a few months ago... Hmmmm. I was gonna make an offroader out of that one and send it to IAN at xtreme 4x4. Maybe the big block brother is a more appropriate use of that big dog 4 slice MONSTER!
I had a PM from a guy looking for a picture from a different angle... here's the Flickr set where I have all 42 pics of that crazy thing...

Re: The "ALL MOTOR" toaster.
Very awesome work! Hybrids have come a long way...not only is it gas and electric (i can tell because it's plugged in) but it can make toast too!
I must admit i'm a little disappointed...I thought you made a mini nitro-style engine that would cook the toast with some badass display of fire and noise.

Haha, of course bisi hasn't done one of those. That's a DOHT (dual overhead toaster). Bisi's specialty is the SOHT.

Re: The "ALL MOTOR" toaster.
Even Miller should be shaking right now... 8.50? Pffft... Toaster starts at 8.0 and goes all the way to 1.0. He can't hang with our junk.
I know for a fact, this "all motor bread buster" is smoking along at 400-500mph right now.
It's got so much power, I suspect you could actually double stuff each slot. Believe that.
Watch here on Friday. BIG THINGS in store for the Toaster on Friday. TRUE.

Re: The "ALL MOTOR" toaster.
GOOD NEWS. The Toaster was delivered to the Speedfactory today for some light fab work and a Dyno session. Ricky is going to permanently attach the toaster to the frame and weld up the crumb tray door for rigidity. We'll get James to whip a tune on it. Pictures soon.

hmmm... You bring up a valid point. They may have to chain the dyno down. I'll mention it to James. I suspect we are looking for some dyno numbers that most mortal men are simply not familiar with. Hard to describe.
