95 civic dx d15b7 runs bad after headgasket/timing
I can't figure out what's wrong. You can't see the timing light but when I have the distributer all the way towards the bumper it looks like this: (| |||) single mark being tdc. When the distributer is to the firewall it just runs away. I've tried the ecu jumped and not jumped with little to no difference. I never warmed up the car to operating temperature but I'm afraid to leave it running like that for too long. I really don't know where to turn at this point my timing marks look perfect to me, and I feel like even if it was the slightest bit off it wouldn't run like this? Any ideas? I'm lost any input would be awesome. Thanks

What does "runs bad" mean?
You never show the cam and crank at TDC1 to allow us to evaluate.
You never say whether you are able to set the ignition timing correctly.
In the video, it sounds like the engine has a slight surging idle. Is this correct?

Yeah that surging like rerr ... rerr... it sounds worst in real life lol. Yeah that's what I mean by running bad. I did attach pictures but for some reason now they're are not there weird? Sorry I'm a little autistic I'm new to the forum haha. Anyways I am happy to say I fixed it. It turns out I didn't put the throttle body gasket on . . I'm amazed it made a world of difference. Thanks Ron for posting in both my threads, I really like how you help people on here. I really appreciate it man cheers!

Looking at the pictures at the end, the crank pulley looks to be TDC mark in the crosshair sights and if the front facing picture of the cam is with the pulley in the position of the pulley picture, you are at least a tooth off on the cam. The left and right lines of the cam gear is supposed to be level with the head when the up is at the top.
I think your mechanical timing is off. Once you have your mechanical timing correct and your timing belt tensioned properly you can set your dizzy in the middle and warm the engine up fully, then jumper the service connector and then do your ignition timing to the middle mark of the three marks grouped together.
The TDC mark on the crank pulley is the lone mark away from the group of 3 marks. It directly correlates to the mark on the crank gear that you can't see now that the pulley is back in place. It's why they added the TDC mark to the pulley. An easy way to verify mechanical timing.
