Icon6 possibly a new turbo! too much smoke!! not boosting?!

i have a t3 turbo and it smokes alot and it has pretty bad shaft play. i was wondering with theses problems can i not be boosting anymore?? because my boost gauge isnt going up past zero and i think the turbine wheel is hitting the inside of the turbo?! (sorry im a newb into the the turbo world) i think the turbo crapped out after i kinda pushed it at 15psi. i was not paying attention to the gauge. so now when i try to boost it, it wont boost like as if its running n/a..... please any feedback is welcomed!!

like i said this is my first turbo setup!

please negative comments to yourself!

ok it was making 15 psi? and not now? do you hear the turbine hitting the housing? it can be pretty loud.

second, look for a boost leak. if there is a gross leak, there is nothing to regulate boost and you may have overspun the turbo.

why not replace the turbo if you know it has bad shaft play anyway? seems silly to try to diagnose any further.
