Default My Top Fuel Carbon Power Chamber Review

Ok so My top fuel intake came today... And before i get started I need to tell you that prior to this i had a modified stock box, Basically i cut the entire bottom of the box off..

Ok install went pretty smooth, Very easy if u ask me .. Everything was packed very nice in the top fuel box, Instuctions seemed very straight forward.. I got everything installed and reset the batt, then let it idle for 10 min...

First driving impression was good, I took it easy for a few miles.. It seemed alot smoother.. responce seemed decently better.. you can really hear the intake to much at cruising speeds.. And just like the other review, at WOT it does sound totally diff than other intakes.. its deep and throaty... It def pulls stronger, not gonna make any butt dyno guess's but it def gained some power.. i only did 2 pulls since its getting ready to storm here.. plus it will take a few day for the ECU to fully learn and reach peak potential... I took a few pics as well as a short vid with my cell.. quality isnt the greatest but atleast its something.. So enjoy! Overall im very happy with this so far and it looks great IMO..

Heres a quick cell vid, its alittle choppy and you'll need to turn the volume up.. the vid does the sound no justice, i need to get a better quality vid

Wow, must be nice to have long open roads where no one is around.

So, tell me what makes this intake any different from any other SRI on the market? I think it would be valuable to dyno the car with the intake and see if you really did gain anything.

Other than that, it looks good on the car, sounds good as well.

This intake is diff because it has the Power chamber, and maf placement is diff... they have a dyno on there site , I picked this intake up from a dealer that is blowing out there top fuel inventory on ebay.. i picked it up for $155 shipped... i got one of the last ones....

In my opinion it looks like hell, and the red silicone hose screams "I'm eBay!!!"

However, it looks like you got a decent price, and its still an intake; You're bound to get a few HP out of it.

the red looks bad, but the rest of it looks great.. top fuel is known for making good quality parts that make decent power..

Doesnt mean its a poor product Top fuel makes quality parts, the hose is a little cheesy but whatever. Looks pretty good and the "power chamber" is supposed to be beneficial but im not sure how. Never understood why you would wanna draw air from the firewall near the exhaust manifold though

Top Fuel has been around for some time and makes quality parts. Back in the late 90s they had the Top Fuel Turbo Integra Type R - Project RR. This is a vid of their more recent DC5 Turbo Integra Type R.

Here's an Import Tuner article with a teg running one of their turbo kits. Top Fuel is a Japanese Tuner company.

Some of you who don't know Top Fuel, there was a time when only JDM parts was available. That was before the Fast and Furious. It's funny to see how people can't tell ebay rice from jdm now.

Yeah top fuel has been around for quite some time. That power chamber isnt anything new either which is why im surprised so many havent heard of it.

The video of that DC5 is pretty amazing, the car handles amazingly. The response is incredible and i love watching the drivers foot work. Nice find
