Oil filter won't stay tight?
I've done numerous oil changes before, and I always tighten down the oil filter by hand, as tight as I can get it. Well I changed my roommates oil today, and it started leaking bad, so I crawled under there, checked the oil filter, and it was loose. Re-tightened it, told her to start the car while I was under there, and watched as the filter slowly rotated backwards from the vibration of the engine. Anyone ever had this happen? The filter is a Fram tough guard.

Never mind, just checked the old filter, and the O-ring is missing, so it must still be stuck to the block. Never had an O-ring come off the filter before.

The O-ring-stuck-to-the-block deals huh? Happens to the best of us. I left my old Apt. a mess because of that...Good times.
