How do you determine if your car is Japan or US-built?
I need to replace a window regulator in my car and some of the sites I've been looking at are asking if it's Japan or US-built. I'm assuming it's something in the VIN or something, but what exactly should I be looking for?

Here is a wikibooks page on decoding the Honda VIN:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicle...onda/VIN_Codes
The first character of the vehicle identification number number tells the country of origin.
1 = USA
2 = Canada
3 = Mexico
4 = USA
5 = USA
9 = Brazil
J = Japan
K = Korea
V = France
