Re: my 67mm sfwd vw build
i actually did have to remove some material on in the head, as the profile starts to open the valve. the cams are decent sized (for being a 20v head)
intake: 279* duration 10.45mm lift. exhaust: 268* duration 11.2mm lift.
but you're right, any more lift, and i would have to look at machining the caps too.

preloading at the line, axles will last a while. good 30+ passes. trans? borrowed time and it hasn't even started. haha. next winter i will focus on building the trans. i didn't want the car to be down another year to build it this season. i haven't enjoyed this thing for 3 years now. i want to race, and get some enjoyment out of putting money into the car.

i'll be hitting a few events this season. wcf is ont he list, a few vw events, buschur event in may and 1 for sure ifo. when i'm working, i work mad hours. anywhere from 60-85hrs/week, for 60+ days straight. so, sometimes it's tough to walk away from $~600 days to go race. haha.

Re: my 67mm sfwd vw build
isn't that why we love vw's? haha. actually, i've owned the car since new. it's a 2002 model, and i bought it 11/2001. only has about 35k miles on it. =P

Also, where did you get that fuel line hose from? What material is it and how much is it per foot? Im curious. Thanks! And good luck with the build! Looks bad azz! ;o)

Re: my 67mm sfwd vw build
I wonder what kind of power can this thing make...
In my country they say that this 20v head is bullshit and bla bla, ignorants, the builders still use the VW 8v head for the drag cars.

Re: my 67mm sfwd vw build
vicotr, i k the 8v heads are more readily available in bazil, no? i'm shooting for 725+whp. this is an old school comp wheel here, with a dinosaur like turbine wheel. haha. i know you guys make crazy numbers with the 8v's.
